The Faculty welcomes Elke van Dermijnsbrugge and Maxwell Ho as new lecturers at the Department of International Education and Lifelong Learning and the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership.
Although new to our undergrads they are familiar to most of the Faculty. Elke studied our Executive Master of Arts in International Educational Leadership and Change, whilst Maxwell received his Bachelor of Education here at EdUHK. One thing in common, they will add to the ways in which the Faculty is making a difference in the lives of young people.
Elke has worked for the University of Antwerp, Belgium as a second language specialist and has extensive experience in International Baccalaureate schools in Asia and Africa. She has developed language policies and training programmes for multinational corporations based in the Brussels region, Belgium and has thorough experience in language teaching and learning in international environments.
Maxwell's specialty is school-based finance and entrepreneurial curriculum. His expertise has earned him a range of awards, accredited by Hong Kong Association of Business Education, HK Education City, Education Bureau and Investor Education Centre.
Through hiring talented young staff and allowing them the freedom to innovate in the classroom and beyond, we strive to raise everything we do to the NEXT LEVEL to benefit our students.
